Nissan GB has made the craziest, road legal Micra ever. It's called the R which is simply what you’ll be screaming when this mid engined, mad small auto rockets you to 62 mph in less than five seconds and onto a 150 mph top speed.
The Micra R began its existence as a thought auto at the final Geneva Motor Show. However its creator, Christopher Reitz, didn’t need it to stay that way – he desired his creation to be determined. But also Nissan Motor (GB's) watching over head, Brian Carolin, in conjunction with Ray Mallock Limited (RML) has made it happen.
RML ran Nissan's super successful British Touring Car Championship crusade in the late Nineties. And then motorsport (for the road) is particularly much what the Micra R is about. From nose to tail the R is unlike any Nissan Micra ever processed. Case in point, you won’t identify a motor under its hat – simply a radiator and a fuel tank. Notwithstanding the Micra's shrewd rear sliding seat has been binned in favour of a 265 bhp totally race prepared motor. It's still got the Intelligent Key framework, though.
