The source adds, "Mallika survives on low fat Japanes food most of the time and her favorite dish is the Japanese Sushi. The actress makes it a point to inform the producers to order for Sushi whenever she is shooting.

Not only that Mallika keeps advising about the advantages of low fat and oil free food and tells them to go on a Japanese food diet since it is oil free whereas, Indian food contains ghee. The actress is always considerate on the sets about her co-stars and everyone around her."

"That apart, Mallika never misses a single day without going to the gym in her Versova apartment complex. Actor-anchor turned director Rohit Roy also stays in the same complex and is seen regularly in this gym," the source concludes.

Not surprised by the poll results, Sherawat says, “Not being considered would be embarrassing. And since men make up half the population of the world, that’s fine by me.”



Despite showing spark in Murder, the sexy newcomer failed to sizzle in Bollywood. Even her recent film, Welcome, failed to do anything for her at the box office. Has her sex symbol tag overshadowed her abilities as an actress? “I happen to be a movie star and not just an actress. That’s like being a wicket-keeper whose batting sometimes overshadows his work behind the stumps,” Sherawat replies candidly. “But, yes, as far as my sex symbol image goes, there is a sense of deja vu. Says a source closely associated with the actor, "The year 2007 has gone quite well for Mallika even though she didn't have a lead role to play in any of the three films.

After 'Pyaar Ke Side Effects', her fans have obviously been asking for more. After a consistently good run, in the form of three super hit films, she is all set to enter 2008 with a lot more confidence."

The year 2008 is indeed special for Madame M as she would be seen in at least three high profile projects - 'Ugly And Pagli', 'Maan Gaye Mughal-E-Azam' and a Tamil film 'Dasavatharam'.

Reveals the source, "'Maan Gaye Mughal-E-Azam' is all set to remind the audience of the great chemistry that Mallika shared with Rahul Bose in 'Pyaar Ke Side Effects'. The film is a wonderful package.

Not only does it comes from the house of Venus who are looking at making a comeback after the debacle of 'Aap Ki Khatir'; it also has Sanjay Chhel as a director who wrote such superb one liners in 'Partner'.

Actors like Paresh Rawal and Kay Kay Menon in the cast only make this yet another more comedy to watch out for in 2008."

Another comedy which Mallika's fans can expect from her this year is 'Ugly And Pagli'.

A Pritish Nandy Communications' production, the film, as per its producer Rangita Pritish Nandy, is 'Bollywood's quirkiest, kinkiest and funniest romance'.

To be directed by debutant Sachin Khot, the film sees Mallika paired opposite Ranvir Shorey who had a supporting role to play in 'Pyaar Ke Side Effects'. A romantic comedy, the film has music by Anu Malik.

Not long back, this space had informed you that Mallika Sherawat was to play the role of a prostitute-turned-politician in Kundan Shah’s ‘Masquerade’. Now, the latest one is that the loud-mouthed bombshell has walked out of the film owing to some irrevocable creative differences with the director.

Mallika was initially very excited about the project as it was undoubtedly one of the best and most challenging roles of her career. She had even agreed to use the typical UP language laced with colorful epithets. However, during the course of the rehearsals, she developed serious problems with Kundan over creative issues. Word is also going around that she did not like the film’s technical crew but Kundan was adamant about not changing his technical crew. A lot of other creative differences cropped up during the film’s shooting and Mallika, with her no-one-messes-with-me attitude, walked out of the film.

With the leading lady walking out of the film, the project has an undecided fate now because the producers of the film, The Indian Film Company, too has decided to opt out.

Mallika Sherawat, who features in the upcoming Welcome, has an item number in the film. So, why does she feel threatened by Malaika Arora Khan?

Gossipmongers have been kind to Mallika Sherawat . Except Rahul Bose perhaps, she hasn’t yet been linked with any of her co-stars. It is incredible how the sensuous belle has avoided getting romantically involved with men. But that, it now seems, is not exactly the case.

According to a report in the latest edition of Stardust, there is a mystery man in Mallika’s life.

Without revealing the man’s name, the magazine says he is “an owner of a leading GSM company in India”. Mallika reportedly met him at a party in Delhi and there was an instant chemistry between the two. Their relationship apparently developed over a course of time.

The article also says that Mallika’s secret beau has bought a bungalow for her.

There are other reports that say the couple has also been to a vacation in Europe.

Mallika, who is presently working in Pritish Nandy Communications project Ugly And Pagli , is remaining tightlipped about the rumours. She apparently wants to keep the fling secret because her beau is a married man.
