PepsiCo India has signed Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif as the brand ambassador for its mango drink Slice.
Katrina becomes not only the first brand ambassador for Slice but also the first Indian film actress to endorse a brand in the juice category. She will also be the face for Slice Mangola.
"Slice enjoys high salience in the Indian market and is known to be a great tasting mango drink for all occasions. We are delighted to associate with Katrina Kaif as the brand ambassador for Slice and are positive that she will help build the brand's connect with our core consumers," said Homi Battiwalla, vice president (emerging categories), PepsiCo India.
Katrina said: "I am extremely proud to be associated with Slice. When the brand approached me, I readily agreed because it is the best-tasting mango drink, and has been my favorite for a long time. Its delicious taste makes it a perfect drink suitable for all occasions."

Katrina has been in the news lately for an alleged fallout with Salman Khan.
But the high in her professional life is more than making up for these ‘love’ly speculations. Never mind if she’s in Australia shooting for Singh is Kinng – with her film Welcome’s promos hitting the screen, she’s thrilled with the feedback she’s been getting.
Says she, “This reminds me of the time Namastey London had hit the screen and the response was just as wonderful. It’s deja vu time for me.” No wonder Katrina is keeping her fingers crossed.

Shyam is losing his girl friend because his career is going nowhere as he trudges his way around in a call center. His girl friend, Priyanka, is also an agent like him at the call canter who is about to be snatched by an NRI techno geek.
There is also the aspiring model, Esha, who is hopping for the break that seems to be always already eluding her and the man about town, Vroom, who is into well, things. The housewife, Radhika, who is constantly at the receiving end of her mother-in-law and a beleaguered grandfather, Military Uncle, who has been barred from interacting with his grandchild make up the rest of the call agents who see their worlds crumbling around them as the decisions of right sizing are conveyed by Bakshi, the boss.
It is a night when dreams will finally crumble. Or will it? For there is that call from God. Narrated as a tale within a tale as a beautiful woman meets the auteur narrator and promises him a story on the condition that he has to narrate it further, Hello, based on Chetan Bhaqat's one night @ the call Center, is the one remarkable story from Tales from a Thousand and One globalizing, urban, Indian Nights.

"We were all set to start the film. But then we saw some striking similarities between what we had in mind and 'Jab We Met'. Doing two similar films with the same actor in the lead didn't make any sense," Santoshi told IANS.
"Now we are reworking the script and will surely come up with something soon. I really want to work with Shahid and Katrina," he added.
Santoshi is preparing to start his epic on emperor Ashoka in January 2008 with Ajay Devgan and Bipasha Basu in the lead.
As for his other film, the musical "London Dreams", he said: "Some differences cropped up between me and the producers. Also, there was a lot of confusion over Salman Khan's dates. So I really don't know where the project stands."
The director is currently giving finishing touches to his film about the individual and his conscience "Halla Bol", which opens Dec 21.
Tell him that he is working on too many projects, and he explains: "Yes, I do have a reputation for initiating several projects out of which some don't work out. But during the last one and a half years you must've noticed I've been focusing only on 'Halla Bol'. I never go on the floor until I'm absolutely sure."
His last two films "Family: Ties of Blood" and "Khakee" bombed at the box office.
