This is totally nauseating at this point. Doesn't he remember that God "hated" interracial marriages at one point? It is because of the "redefinition" of marriages that allowed black people to marry white people in America.

Asked if he'd give up the Super Bowl to stop gay marriage, Tyree said: "Honestly, I probably would."

"Nothing means more to me than that my God would be honored," he said. "Being the fact that I firmly believe that God created and ordained marriage between a man and a woman, I believe that that's something that should be fought for at all costs."

David Tyree says that "Gay marriage will lead us into anarchy." I'm sorry, how is this supposed to happen? How do people who love each other turn into anarchy? Gay people have been around since the beginning of time and as far as I can tell, we have not contributed to anarchy. If anything, our commitment to art, fashion and home decor has made life more civilized.

According to the New York Giant:

'Marriage is the only relationship that actually mirrors our relationship with god, it's very unique in that way.'

Asked what message gay marriage sends, he replies: 'It says that you don't need a mother or father.

He adds: 'You can't teach what you don't have, two men can't teach a woman how to be a woman. That's just simple that's just common sense, not political, I approach more from an angle of prayer.'

Also, it has been proven by many studies that having gay parents does not make children grow up lacking anything. Single parents everywhere can attest to this.  And there are many children out there who need parents to adopt them and following what his logic would be is that he would rather these children languish and die rather than have gay people be their parents. Is that common sense? Don't talk out of your ass David Tyree.

A first person account of the incident:

Yesterday when I walked into your Centereach, Long Island location I saw one of the most brazen and unapologetic displays of homophobia I have ever witnessed in my entire life. What was most concerning about it was it was perpetuated by not one, not two but THREE of your employees and it was directed towards a fourth employee. I don’t know this man, but I know his name is Jeffrey because the woman (who seemed to be in charge of this circus) loudly scolded, spoke to in a condescending manner, humiliated, and then let go. In the middle of your store. Two feet away from my table. Then when Jeffrey, who was visibly shaken went to the bathroom to collect him self, the women at the table went on a long, ranting homophobic rant that lasted about five minutes. This rant transpired two feet away from my table where I sat with my daughter. A three year old child, with two mothers. I have never, in my entire life seem such a gross and unapologetic display of ignorance and intolerance. The most horrific aspect of it was that it was by someone that your corporation put into a position of power. I have never, ever in ANY context seen ANYTHING so unprofessional in my entire life. I was horrified that my daughter was exposed to that.

UPDATE: Jeffrey, the victim, writes a little note thanking everyone for their support.

GLBT youth are in danger every day. When they do not get the support they need, they turn to drugs and alcohol, or leave their homes and become homeless.

This viral video imagines how celebrities like Ian McKellen and Samantha Fox lives' may have turned out differently if they didn't have the support they had.

Paul O’Grady, Hollyoaks actor Kieron Richardson and Byker Grove star Andrew Hayden-Smith also appear in the film.

In a stand-up show Tracy did, he let loose some really disgusting homophobic rants and claimed that he would kill his own son, if he was gay and whined about being bullied:

30 Rock star, and alum of Saturday Night Live, Tracy Morgan had a stand-up routine on June 3rd that went anywhere but where he probably was anticipating it would go. The comedian ended up going off on a hate-filled homophobic tirade onstage in a Nashville, Tennessee club.

"He mentioned that gay was something kids learn from the media and programming, and that bullied kids should just bust some *ss and beat those other little f**kers that bully them, not whine about it. He said if his son that was gay he better come home and talk to him like a man and not [he mimicked a gay, high pitched voice] or he would pull out a knife and stab that little N (one word I refuse to use) to death."

Tina Fey, you need to do something about this and kill off the Tracy Jordan character on 30 Rock.  By the way, Tracy, take Sherri Shepard with you.

Under the care of Dr Ivor Lovaas and George Rekers, then a doctoral student, of UCLA, he underwent therapy to eliminate supposed effeminate behaviors. In 1974, Lovaas and Rekers jointly published a paper about the boy they renamed "Kraig," heralding his treatment for "childhood cross-gender problems" a success and claiming he had been transformed from a gender-confused homosexual-in-waiting to a healthy, heterosexual young man. On the back of this study, Rekers built a career as an anti-gay activist and a supposed expert in childhood sexual development. He co-founded the Family Research Council and championed reparative therapy to turn gay men straight. In 2003, Kirk, aged 38 years old and gay, committed suicide."
