Any benchmarks on read/write speeds with these �ber SD cards?

Honda has been building cars in Ohio at least since the early '90s. Had a '93 Civic built in East Liberty or Marysville... can't remember which. Sadly, the Fits (I actually own an '09) come from Japan.

I remember once upon a time where foreign car manufacturers were giving preferential treatment to home country parts suppliers. I wonder if this is still the case?

how do they release the preview to developers and not let loose the super secret features? are all the super secret features all applications which don't need testing?

My bet is that the GUI will be tested in the labs, there will be a few more apps put to the Dev's but not for a while yet. Apple want them to get board of spaces so they can put more atention on to the newer (SUPER SECRET) apps.

to be frank, the GUI will not be put out on any beta. this is the one thing apple dont want those pencil pushing theifs at redmond to see as it will no doubt work its way into there next relese (microsoft 2012?)

This girl must have you star-struck, eh? Sending messages over to other computers in the apple store is difficult. They always have these odd names for ichat/bonjour services, so it's not likely you'll be able to do this on your first try. You could be sending a message to another GUY somwhere in the store for all you know.

That is just it, I have no idea if she that hot because I hardly know her, and physical appearance only goes so far. As far as hiding behind "i dont care" as steeleclipse mentioned, I am not hiding behind it, I am stating a true fact, which myself of all people should realize to be true. If I go there again I am not going to avoid her, I would hope she doesn't feel the urge to avoid me considering I haven't done anything to her, and frankly shopping doesn't require purchases, so I shouldn't be forced to only enter the store when I have a need to purchase, I like to browse. I would not at all be pissed if she dated someone else, for all I know she could be right now and that is great for her. I simply thought she was an attractive and interesting person, and since I have a poor history of initiating contact with women I like, I thought I would ask around. steeleclipse, I read all of what you were typing, not just the IM portion however that was interesting from a how would one do this? aspect, it was not the focus of my response, only the first paragraph. I don't take offense to much, this is no exception so no worries on that front. I didn't read the whole thread so maybe someone already said it but if they put 30 crapware and trial programs on Macs they could probably drop the price... but they don't want to. The Windows machines should say $1200 - $400 from crapware vendors to be more fair.

As far as why people buy Macs? Windows has gotten a TON better but a lot of the same problems still apply. I got tired of trying to make backup rotation work on my Win7 machine (it won't do it you can only backup to ONE destination. If you want to change that you edit your ONE allowed backup policy but you can't even have multiple policies to allow for not changing the policy every time you rotate your disk), I got tired of driver problems with my Wacom Intuous (certain apps wouldn't let you click buttons with the mouse but worked with the pen [random crap like that]) I got tired of all the registry trash that every program you want to demo leaves behind, I enjoyed the alleged openness but honestly got tired of the lack of real-world compatibility (the esata card I bought "worked" but not in AHCI mode so I couldn't hot swap. And even just leaving it in IDE mode I got a BIOS error every time I booted).

I could go on. I'm pretty objective and there are areas where Windows and generic hardware provide advantages but its not that cut and dried and people aren't suckers for paying more for a mac.

Of course not. I was saying that if these were the original parts that were rejected by Apple, then there isn't much wiggle room regarding the fact that they are stolen goods. It is highly unlikely that Apple released these parts for sale. It is much more likely that they were ordered stored or destroyed. Either way, they would now be stolen property.

Now, if they were from another manufacturer (i.e. a knock-off product), or from a non-Apple production run at Foxconn (though there may be some serious issues there, too, as under contract Apple may own all product coming off certain tools), then the only possible criminal issue would be patent infringement.

iHope Apple will make this phones with GSM technology, so everyone worldwide could have one. :)

I've seen no attempt to quantitively factor quality into all these price comparisions that get thrown around. The build quality on my shiny doors is better than the build quality on any PC I've personally seen since a really nice Intel (yes, Intel) built PC from about '93.

If there's a desire to compare simply on price, then you might as well use a random number generator - it's too much Apple and Oranges.

I remember the storm caused a few years ago when a number of the UK PC manufacturers admitted that a 5% - 10% failure rate was the rates they operated on. I've just witnessed 3 motherboards out of about 15 go "phut" at work - due to design defects rather than going out of warranty as well. So should I conclude that they're good value for money because they are cheaper?

Yeah, tell me about it (looks down at my Quad). But honestly, I think it will suck even more for Adobe, as they are really limiting themselves in the market that they can reach. Come on Adobe, it wouldn't be THAT hard to code according to Apple's Universal standards, would it?
