Panther's newfangled XKR-S supercat has a significant family. With a top speed of 174mph and looks to match, its the speediest Jag to go discounted because the fabulous XJ220 supercar – and the company's snappiest-ever roadster!
Improved by a minor group of builds, the XKR-S profits from a host of suspension adjustments, in addition to uprated brakes. Notwithstanding the speed limiter has been removed from the 420bhp 4.2-litre supercharged V8, so the model can quicken far past the 155mph top Jaguar regularly puts on its autos. Just 200 samples could be ready worldwide, with 50 in the UK. At £79,995, the Jag requires £9,000 something greater than the XKR on which its based, so its confident to be selective – and has the looks to match.
